Our partners from DomSpain bring us a remarkable initiative that is taking place in their city, Reus. \u201cUnwanted loneliness\u201d, led by the Friends of Elderly Foundation, seeks to tackle the pressing issue of social isolation among seniors.<\/p>

The initiative relies on the collective efforts of volunteers and citizens to lend a helping hand to older adults in need of companionship and support. Through this collaborative approach, people from all walks of life come together to make a positive impact on the lives of their elderly neighbours.<\/p>

Volunteers play a vital role in providing emotional support and companionship to lonely or isolated seniors. Whether over a cup of coffee, a chat or just to spend time together, these interactions foster meaningful connections and help alleviate feelings of loneliness. By offering companionship and support, the initiative aims to empower seniors to lead fulfilling lives and actively engage in their community. Through these meaningful interactions, older adults are reminded of their value and importance, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life.<\/p>
